For a bottom longline, the groundline runs along the fishing area and the branch lines are connected to it at set intervals. The hooks are then arranged along these branch lines. This is the basic layout used in groundfish longline gear.
Commercial fishing gear catalogues list 1/2" groundline as a standard size. One commercial longline catalogue, for example, lists 1/2" nylon groundline in medium and medium-firm lays, with 1,800 ft coils.
For this 1/2" version, we can make the line in the construction used for your fishing gear. Coil length, color and packing can be discussed when ordering.
