The Commercial Longline Groundline 5/16 Inch is engineered for commercial bottom longline fishing operations. Constructed from high-quality twisted nylon, it delivers an excellent balance of tensile strength, operational flexibility and reliable abrasion resistance. Its moderate 5/16'' (approx. 8mm) diameter ensures easy handling during both setting and hauling processes, delivering consistent, dependable performance across repeated commercial fishing cycles.
This twisted nylon longline ground rope is built to withstand the rigors of daily commercial fishing use. The precision twisted structure maintains uniform tension throughout the line, reducing snags and wear during deployment, while the inherent properties of nylon provide reliable shock absorption and resistance to seabed abrasion during bottom fishing.
Well suited for a wide range of commercial groundfish fisheries, it is the go-to choice for sablefish, halibut and other premium bottom-dwelling species. Its versatile diameter and performance profile make it suitable for both inshore and moderate offshore longline fishing applications.
