What material is good for novice wild fishing lines?
There are many materials for making fishing lines, such as nylon lines, PE lines, carbon lines, and so on.
Nylon thread: the most common material for main threads and sub-threads in freshwater
Advantages: good elasticity, high knot strength, good curling, good water cutting
Disadvantages: easy to roll, the low tension value
PE line: the main line of the reel generally used for lure fishing, and the main line of freshwater fishing for big fish
Advantages: high pulling force (the strongest under the same number)
Disadvantages: no ductility, easy to break, high price, not wear-resistant
Carbon fiber line: Do more sea fishing lines (for rock fishing lines or lure front lines) and fishing grounds where obstacles are easy to sharpen the line.
Advantages: wear-resistant (the strongest under the same number), not easy to curl
Disadvantage: low nodule strength
The most common types of Taiwanese fishing are nylon and PE lines. For small fish, nylon lines are enough.
